Deep in my hard drive I have a folder called "Apple Loops for Garageband" in in seems to be two versions of every loop. One is an AIFF file and the other is a Core Audio File. Surely I don't need both of them?

Have you ever actually used any of the loops ? It's about 5gb or something ridiculous isn't it ? I deleted them all years ago and have never missed them.

there is a program out there somewhere for removing all the extra languages on a mac, i think it clears a GB or so. pretty sure i've done it to all mine at some stage.

fire the loops on a DVD. if you really, really want them, they are there.

Yeah he's right if you can shift back the patterns you actually want to use easy enough. 99% of them are absolute gak.
