It's one of those love or hate it things but how do you dudes feel about Christmas pudding?Do you buy or make from scratch? Muffin makes one for our family every year and I had a wee taste on Monday and quite frankly it is awesome, her best one yet!It immediately put me in the Christmas spirit. Also what do you like on yrs- cream?custard?nothing at all?

not at all...muffin only made hers a week and a bit ago, wrapped it up, let it dry and bobs yr uncle it was lovely!go for it diddles.

it shouldn't be diddles..i normally give mine longer to try out but i gave this one 9 days and its turned out rather well as cpr mentioned. I had intended leaving it to dry for longer but it doesnt seem to have needed it..

Never had one from a shop. My mother makes one every year.

I like it plain. No brandy, brandy butter or any accompanying stuff.

My brother-in-law's Christmas Pudding ice cream is amazing.

This Christmas, I discovered the value of steaming your christmas pudding (not a euphemism), as opposed to microwaving it. Fantastic. One of my favourite desserts. Ever look at the ingredients? The amount of shit they throw in there! When you steam it, it melts in the mouth. I like it with custard, which you can't get here, so I opted for creme anglaise, which was not a bad alternative.

make one of the suet pudding recepies from Mrs. Beeton instead, they'd be nice.

I like Christmas pudding but life is way too short to make one yourself especially when you can buy ones just as nice.
