Childs Bike Seat -recommendations (1 Viewer)

Am trailing through loads of sites trying to organise one. Has anyone got any suggestions? Back carrier, front carrier, bells and whistles??

What's it like cycling in the city with a kid? Is your heart ever in your mouth?

I got this one fitted by Eurobaby.
It was €59 including the fitting.
It's really safe.

I have one of those too. Very safe once you get used to the new weight distribution. Had it topple over once. Luckily the boy is so well strapped in that he was ok.

You find yourself shouting "are you ok" the whole time. A little voice shouts back "yea!"

Keep in mind that if the gear cable runs down the back of the seat tube it can prevent the bracket fitting on.
Leave enough space between the wheel and the seat that there is a little bounce in it. You don't want the seat hitting your wheel.
Geting on and off the bike all of a sudden will become more difficult.

Yeah - that's a weird one alright.
I nearly kicked the little fella in the head the first time I tried to get on.
Took a while to get used to it.

I've one of those on the cross bar, with a back rest and safety strap. Totally safe.

My missus got one of these for little Daisy.She falls asleep within minutes of getting on the bike(Daisy, not me missus).Nuff said.I am definitley gonna get one for my bike like Hmd suggested though.That thing looks like a laugh riot.

See if you can buy a second bracket to hold the seat on,rather than buying a new seat.
