Children Under Hoof
Children Under Hoof are five people from various counties in Ireland, brought together in college by a mutual love of Risk, Father Ted and 7"s played at 33 RPM. Members include Robyn Bromfield (Catscars), Gerard Duffy (School Tour), Patrick Kelleher( Patrick Kelleher& His Cold Dead Hands), Barry Semple (1/2 of Ixchel) and Paul Vesey. Their music, vl tone busting/sax swarming/vss sampling/floor tom pounding noise, creates a sound that could be described as trying to channel the souls of Robert Rental, Michael Karoli and Porter Wagoner but failing in a Ouija board inferno. Children Under Hoof were included on "Peek Sounds of the Irish Underground" 12" released by Analogue Magazine and Road Record's Record Store Day 2010 Compilation.
"A Collar Can Become A Noose" Mini Album is our first release (Out on our own inprint, Tender Objects Records). It was partially recorded from live jams, partially multitracked in our various bedrooms, living rooms and shed.
Soon to be released a split 12" with Hunter-Gatherer, and a full-length album.

"...They have created a mini-album of bizarre power, a reconstituted krautrock full of menace, mystery and crucially, groove." - Those Geese Were Stupefied
"Terrific and enticing taster, ahead of upcoming full-length release, from Irish collective. Many shades of krautrock are accommodated, from ambient smears to jam-room improv, motorik groove to field recording and tape manipulations. Live-sounding drums lend a pleasingly organic atmosphere to proceedings. Entropy begins with birdsong, before a chugging pulse appears on top of a tribal rhythm, shadowed by clouds of mid-range synths. A male-voice recitation of some airborne hallucination emerges from the mist, surrounded by whirling whoops and rattles, until rest arrives. It's quite beautiful." - The Underground of Happiness
"...They had an affectation about them that was somewhat innocent." - Matt Vinyl

Magic Pockets
New solo project from Ruadhan O Meara {Grey Mayhem, Guilty Optics, Crayonsmith band}, Magic Pockets creates Lo Fi swirling distortions with shades of Casio versus Japan and Pittsburgh's Zombi buried in his rich mix.
