There's gotta be a bunch of them popping up now. The only one I know of is the one in Kart City on the old airport road. But I don't live near it anymore ,so please list others.Thanks.

There's a car boot sale in the Bernard Shaw, next one is Sat 11th. I'll be flogging my Bold Lump wares at that and there'll be at least one other lad selling 2nd hand records too.

I'm also looking to find out about more markets selling vinyl, want to try have it that I'll be set up somewhere in Dublin most weekends.

There's the flea market at the food co-op on Newmarket Square too. Every 4th Sunday, have never seen much there in the way of music but hopefully that'll be changing soon.

I think kart city is gone :-(

Heres some others
Blackrock market
Station market bray
St Marys School Glasnevin have one pretty regular
Finglas market
Ferryhouse Racecourse
Northside indoor market(opposite artane castle shopping centre)
The one mentioned above in Co-op is the Dublin Flea market(full of students) and I have seen records for sale at it.

Where/when is the food co op one?

I heard about that one in the Bernard Shaww, but can't make it.

Kart City is on again. It's mostly indoors now where the ramps used to be. I was there just last week and got a few things.

I'll have to check out some of the others too.

I've been to the one at artane a few times, never seen anything.

the records in the co-op are generally rubbish. got some anthony
braxton and holger czukay from Ferg (WMD), which were great to
get but he was only there once out of the 3 times i've been and is
not representative of the junk being peddled most months.

ivaughn and gav did pick up some good shit before, but by the time
i got there all i could see was a scratched copy of 'the feeding of the
5000' which didn't have a cover. that record is annoying anyway.

got loads of great shit in the bernard shaw before from a couple
of guys...Jay-Z, Wu Tang, Dillinger...your kind of stuff gary, haha
nah, i did get some B.O.C. and similar there too. all real cheap

and yeah, voidoid has some good records in his distro

It's all about going back, again and again. I've found good stuff in the worst places just by having a look every now and again.

yeah but the co-op just doesn't give me that vibe. there's a carboot
sale up in wesley school in ballinteer, but i've never seen records. my
auntie did give me a paris st germain jersey though, that used to be
my cousins

i go to it because it couldn't be closer to where i live, but in all
honestly it's like something playing dress-up pretending to be a flea
market / carboot sale. you won't find any itinerants selling stolen
power tools and bootleg dvds. there was some miserable clown with
a table full of obama stickers and tshirts last time.

That's pretty much how I ended up going to Kart City. It was too close not too. I'd go months without anything, but than out of the blue a killer score.
It had more than it's fair share of power tools and bootleg dvd's though.

we did our first record fair in the bernard shaw last month . next one is in may 10th. they'll be on every 2 months or so. mainly all vinyl although we're looking to get people to sell old music making machines, gramaphones , cassettes, memorabilia down the line too. anything music related.

mainly vinyl fair for the mo though. if your interested in selling your wares email [email protected].

I wasn't blown away by that coop meself- its like walking in to the Ncad student union.Maybe when they start having it outdoors again it will be better

I think Dublin is really lacking in second hand shops/decent car boots!!!!

Went to Naas earlier - no sign of any activity :(

pity, used to be some deadly markets in kildare, fuckin used to love the one in the curragh when i was a kid, I remember one stall in particular used to just sell massive Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer backpatches. Also the one in athy was great for all manner of stolen shit. Also used to go to a deadly market in the phoenix park. Fuckit someone should just re-open mother redcaps, as a kid that place used to blow me away. I work right around the corner for it and it breaks my heart to go past it every day and see it sitting there dormant, that and the bazar that used to be on meath st.
