CAP PAS CAP

CAP PAS CAP mix hyperactive shape shifting motorik pop chants with pounding drums, fuzzed up drones and no wave led synths.
In 2006 the band released the critically acclaimed Not Not Is Fine EP on Skinny Wolves Records in Europe and Rally/Klee in Japan. 'A breathtaking debut release, their love of krautrock is conspicuous; jagged riffs with clean edges, and clever, repetitive melodies abound.' Totally Dublin Magazine.
The EP sold out completely in weeks.
Through 2006 & 2007 CAP PAS CAP embarked on tours with The Go! Team, Crystal Castles and Erase Errata and performances with No Age, Foals, These New Puritans and The Gossip.
Dazed & Confused magazine said at the time 'CAP PAS CAP occupy that awkward no-man's-land where Sonic Youth, Talking Heads and !!! might get it on at Frank Zappa's slumber party' while X Mist Germany said: 'CAP PAS CAP remind me of anything that was ever fascinating about Post-Punk and No Wave, hints of bands like Bush Tetras, Pylon, early Sonic Youth..'
In 2008 CAP PAS CAP released a split 7'' with Marnie Stern (Kill Rock Stars) on Hidden Hive Records and now prepare to unveil radically new material on a series of limited vinyl only pressings recorded with Al O'Connell (who has worked with The Rapture and Klaxons).
The first 12'' We Are Men is released on November 29th on Skinny Wolves Records with remixes by Jape, Decal and thatboytim
NOT SQUARES
www.myspace.com/notsquares
The sound of Not Squares could be described as electro-rock-thrash-dance.
Begun in January 2008, NS compiles of members of Gaju, Julip, Killing Spree & Tracer AMC.
Keith, Michael, Rachel and Ricki draw and re-draw what they have gathered from previous experience attempting to create something fresh and original which has tangible references, but aims to progress further than a style.
Not Squares have drawn upon their combined record collections and tastes and provided energy as the catalyst to their music. Through intensive improvisation in the beginning and continual refining of sketches and ideas, they have a very organic and democratic process to producing music.
BABYBEEF

Babybeef is the name of the electro pop solo project of Sarah Carroll, a Dublin based performance artist.
Babybeef combines pure hyper coloured unashamed 1980's influenced FM plastic pop with darker driven sounds that call to mind Sparks, Kate Bush, Devo and the more modern sounds of LCD Soundsystem and Daft Punk.
In September 2008 Babybeef recorded 5 songs at Experimental Audio with Stephen Shannon. The EP will be released early 2009.
