During her time in the Iraqi hospital she tearfully kept asking about her boyfriend and family, an Iraqi pharmacist who treated her told Sky News correspondent Ross Appleyard.
He said that no soldiers had visited her and she had been treated well.
She was regarded as a patient and not as a prisoner of war, he said.
He said Private Lynch was "very healthy" and had been treated for an injury to her leg only.
i somehow get the feeling that they could have carried off the rescue attempt a hell of a lot easier, if the dizzy bitch had just checked herself into the out patients ward in the hospital.
maybe she was just waiting for someone to bring her a cpoy of the latest Cosmopolitan, or a bunch of grapes, or something, when suddenly 20 Black Panthers (or whatever) came bursting through the window, spraying fire everywhere and generally wrecking the joint.
The hospital duty nurse was reported as saying afterwards, "This is not going to look good on my report. And who's going to clean up all the mess?"
