I have the 1180.
Pretty good for getting ideas down quick.

It's handy that you can plug straight into it & use the built in sounds (distortion, chorus & the like).

I don't use mine anymore cos I have Logic Express on the Mac but if you don't want the expense & hassle of getting a laptop, interface & software & if you're only really going to be recording 1 or 2 tracks at a time, it's a good way to go.

It's like the one I used to have but with a cd burner. Works pretty much the same way though.

I mean functionality/interface wise i think it's kind the same.
