i thinks its good to keep religion out of music. you gotta keep the scope for a potential fanbase as broad as possible. i did a 4 week songwriting diploma course in stillorgan in 98 and my lecturers main teaching throughout was his 'baggatelle, bag em in' theory.

His theory was that when Liam Reilly wrote Summer in Dublin he wrote the "46a bus to Dun Laoghaire" lyric because that route travels through some of the most affluent areas in Dublin, areas where people were more likely to buy records basically.

Religion is a real hornets nest these days. I'll leave that vibe to bewidowed grannies and hot flushed preists.
