on the topic, does anyone have any info on how to get to Camber Sands from London. The official atp site, and the web in general, doesnt have much to say on getting there...

on the subject of booing: And when Victoria visited the East End, the celebration was marred by what Lord Salisbury called 'a horrid noise'. It was known, an aide explained to Her Majesty, as 'booing' and was attributed to 'socialists and the worst Irish'.

it's easy

getting to camber sands from hastings is a fucking nightmare. theres only one bus which goes every hour, but cause most people usually arrive around the same time its usually a nightmare to get.

we asked for directions to walk to camber sands in the tourist office in hastings and they pointed us in the exact opposite direction!! course we only found this out after walking for bout an hour!!

the best thing i think is to start walking and then try and get a taxi on the way.

i dont know though, i only went to the first one, so they might have improved transport since then.
anyone go to the one last year??

i was lucky enough to see the breeders last night. the best show i've seen since i don't know when. i could shite on and on about it at length but i'll just say that if you're going to ATP or when they get to dublin don't miss them. i had no idea they'd be that good. their new stuff was stunning live, really interesting - i think this album whenever it comes out is going to surprise a lot of people. [/hype]

i'm in nua eabhrach at the moment, they played here saturday and last night. to be honest i was a bit off me nut because some random geezer passed me some kind of "toitín gáireach" and i, the bollocks, had a few hearty tokes and was in a hape for the rest of the night. (of course everything was "making sense" too - i love that...) nevertheless everyone i went with seems to agree with me this morning on the basic point that it was a bit special.

so far i've just seen that they're playing ATP, i assumed they'll play dublin sometime this year tho. but watch for that new album, the new stuff really did sound fucking amazing. there- i said fuck this time, that feels better.

i'd love to agree with ya, but i saw them durin the summer and a lot of it was just plain stank.
sure, they played a lot of the classics off Pod, but i wasn't too gone on that 'new' stuff at all.
and as for being 'The Breeders', Kim + Kelley mostly just stood around + smoked, lookin awfully bloated, while the 3 new guys played all the music.
charming.

sorry, they'd just come on after Low and they just couldn't compare.

Last year we arrived in Rye relatively early - around 1pm or so - go a train straight from Gatwick airport. By the time we had had a slap up fish and chips lunch and stocked up on loads food'n'beer we were still easily able to get a taxi... There are also busses...
Same goes for the way back - leave as early as you can! Taxis are tricky from Camber but busses get steadily more infrequent... We ended up walking back, which was fucking torture with a hangover the size of the crazy golf course... Don't walk - it's not worth it...
