Best jazz fusion record ever? i dunno, haven't had much exposure to this genre, but this is a pretty fucking fantastic album...you can smell the sweat in that New York studio 40 years ago.

i'm not sure what i mean by jazz fusion either, but i understand that's what it is.Probably.
I'm not sure what you mean by jazz fusion but it's a great record, nonethless.
it's when jazz reaches a temperature so high, it becomes self-sustaining.i'm not sure what i mean by jazz fusion either, but i understand that's what it is.
i think you're confused, dear.its mad the way its a complete remix of everything.
they cut the tapes into pieces and reconstructed it all. i think - or else im thinking of a completely different album.
great work on all levels anyway.

is it not panthalassa that he's talking about? the bill laswell thing. really great record that. afaik, in a silent way and bitches brew were big long sessions, but i never heard anything about splicing tapes together. i could be wrong. love them both though. get up with it is another great 70's miles album.I think that's 'in a silent way' you're thinking of.
Another incredible Miles Davis LP.
I think I like 'Big Fun' just as much if not more than 'Bitches Brew'
