Well man, you remember Saigon in ’71. The girls showed us what a long time meant. A long time was what they promised, but it never lasted long enough. Sure, I’d be happy for a while, sometimes I even convinced myself that it was something more than what it was, the expression of hate, the frustration, the anger, physical, visceral, doing anything just to prove to myself that I was still alive, that I was still human. But then before I knew it, I’d be back in the jungle shooting Charlie in the pouring rain. God I hate what that place made me………..a long time. It was a long time ago, maybe that answers your question, but it’s been a long time since I slept without screaming.

i played guitar with them at the start when they were finding their feet (post soft cuddly toys). I couldn't commit cos I was living in Galway. I told tom to get a big muff and the rest as they say is history..
