Never liked Machine Head. Terrible band.
Roots I loved at the time ,but tried to listen to it a while ago and couldn't.

i bought it for someone on a trip to London sometime around 89 and was tempted to keep it, but then I heard it... and didn't.

Copies were floating around in 89? Must have been repressed.

Possibly, yeah - would have been right around the release of Beneath The Remains so perfect timing for a cash in rerelease. Dunno why they'd bother repressing the whole split though, so maybe not.

I have a copy of Morbid Visions with Bestial Devastation tagged on the end. Looking on discogs it's from '91 though

they were always a band i found had too many songs on their records...chaos ad & roots would be amazing albums if you chopped off 3 or 4 songs.
the 1-2-3 of arise, dead embryonic cells and desparate cry from Arise can't be beaten!

I had Schizophrenia on cassette with Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation on the B side. Can't find it on Discogs though.
Escape to the Void is one of my favourites.
