and that triosk album er.. whazitcalled? it's on leaf

incidentally that's quite jazzy. and yet it's rather good.. does that mean jazz isn't shit? I think so. :)
 
no disrespect, but i thought 21 grams was the most over-hyped piece of faux arty bullshit i've ever seen.

I expected it to be awful, due to the tacky trailer and assorted ravings by people I knew. but I actually thought it was ok. I liked the extremely non linear narrative, even if it was a bit pretentious..I thought it worked really well.

good movie. really enjoyed some of the photography. i thought benicio del toro was fucking amazing. the artiness grated sometimes - agreed. but more to like than dislike. in my opinion.

Going to Flufffest in Czech Republic to witness some of the last every gigs by Yage & Highscore -as well as seeing The Liars in Prague:

Jazz Funeral in Cork/Fred Zepplins - some amazing bands in a shitty room.

Going to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, Morrocco, a town with no bars/alcohol, Mint Tea, Good Sufi music and some of the finest hashish and carpets in the world.

best record: Forthemasses by OPM though it was only released so far in the uSA, closely followed by i can do nice by saso, blueberry boat by fiery furnaces, let it die by feist, the lost riots by hope of the states

best movie: haven't seen any movies that were released this year

Best gig: Saso @Temple Bar Music Centre, August 5th

though i am going to blink 182 next week so maybe saso would be confined to second best. i don't know
