Most unforseen event: Ror coming out as gay.

Second most unforseen act: Owensie defying the critics to prove that a diet of bucky and smoke does *not* make you infertile.

I'm surprised we're ALL in the clear. Especially after such close contact with each other over the years. All that friendly arse patting and cock shaking could have ended in tears. It would have been another classic Dublin punk moment to find we all had the virus.

Neither Nev, Dunchee, Ken nor Derenzy have been tested though, so stay away from them ladies. My cock is squeaky clean and I have the cert to prove it.

Mooreys results came back grand too..
Someone in the scene - It's not my place to say who, I'll leave it up to them if they decide they want to tell you - did not get such good results from the STD clinic.

best show: a tie between any world/inferno show and the epoxies + hissyfits in brooklyn

best punk rock moment: getting kicked out of the pav

what ireland needs more of in 2004: more synth pop and keyboards and less punk altogether.

best gig: Funeral Diner in limerick, and half the bastards in the crowd weren't even listening

best album: Shai Hulud, "That within blood ill tempered"

best irish band: Ten Past Seven

Biggest hype of 2003: The Naut (not my cup of tea really)

biggest loss of 2003: Make Music in Cork, the greatest band rooms ever reduced to ash

nicest surprise of 2003: seeing Detonation from HOlland in Essex and being blown away
