Best Gig of 2007 Thread (1 Viewer)

Deerhoof at EP (by far the best)
Boredoms in village

Same as last year more or less.

The Ex in Crawdaddy
Terrordactyl in Lower Deck
Pinback in Whelans
special mention for Charles Hayworth too, woah, wadda guy

Kocani Orkestra in Farmleigh

There was something altogether amazing standing in a muddy field with about 50 other people in the rain listening to 15 or so lads blasting out sweet music on their brass instruments.

The Boban Markovic gig last night reminded me of it.

Fuck Buttons first gig at ATP on Friday. Fucking absolutely amazing, I've never ever been so floored by a band I had heard so little of before. I'm currently wearing their tshirt with pride because of that performance.

Cool. Excellent band.

Did they have any records for sale?
I just have the one 7". Album due in February on ATP Recordings.

despite all the class gigs this year, i'd be inclined to agree.the best i've seen them and the crowd were just perfect. Les Savy Fav in Crawdaddy also has to be up there.great venue for them, better than ATP. Pissed off i missed the Ex, can't remember what i was doing

Acid Mother's Temple in Whelan's.
Om at Dour in Belgium.
Devo.
After tonight I'm fairly sure I'll be adding High on Fire to that list.

So many gigs I enjoyed this year.

The three that really stood out for me were:
Thomas Truax (Ballroom of Romance) - my favourite.
Final Fantasy (EP)
Charles Hayward (Kennedys)
