so glad i decided to go to this. ruled. but why the high cymbal? surely he was just making things difficult for himself. the playing guitar with one hand, playing the keyboard with the other thing was feckin' magic. great band.

Best gig I've been to in ages. Battles were amazing. Decal were great too, those high frequencies hurt my ears though.

Really enjoyed this despite the soundcheck problems :)
Battles were cool - loved the glitter band-esque track and their funk track at the end.

No just the collected ep's thing. I got to talk to Tyondai Braxton briefly afterwards and he said the LP would be out in a few months. The new stuff sounded good, but couldn't take it all in. And I know everyone says this, but they were pretty blown away by Ireland and the reaction to the gig so I'm sure you'll get a chance to see them again.

Ian Williams almost went into Roma II.

yeah i think the fact that they were enjoying it made me enjoy it much more.

jeez ian williams looked like he was having a ball. facial expressions and everything.

this was quality despite the fact that it was so warm my poor old burd was on deaths door. Dave Lacey is one keeping in time motherfucker.

battles were incredible. 3 guitarists + 8 amps + one nutball amazing drummer =::clef:: .|..| ::clef::

that's what steely dan would sound like if they were around now.

Steely Dan are still performing and recording to my knowledge.

I asked John Stanier about the high cymbal and he said it was just a gimmik, something a bit different is all...
