over winter, i'm gonna be in ontario and it's gonna be well into the minuses. (like -20 in places).
the last time i took a camera up the hill, it was my cybershot and the battery drained veeeerrrry quickly some days. i doubt i'll be taking my nikon d80 up there, but that won't make a difference temperature-wise at ground level this time.
are they better built to withstand the cold or is there something i need to do to help its battery along?

Your nikon batteries will last longer, so bring it. And the camera will be better insulated (That's what I love about the nikon's; nigh-on weather-proof).

But the cold will still affect it. I doubt it'll be too bad. Buy it a pair of gloves.

thanks guyz
