This is all vis a vis the US Jap/Jags though.

well you all know about that scandal whereby fender were basically housing strat single coils in jazzmaster casings in the jap models?...?
have to agree with pete. you CAN get nice jap jazzs but usually to do so you have to switch out the pickups.
the difference between a US and JAp jazzmaster is biig.. tom hanks big.
