A Lazarous Soul was formed in Dublin in 2001 by Brian Brannigan and released their debut album in "A Lazarous Soul Record" within a year.

Gaining regular airplay and favourable reviews placing them between Joy Division and The Blue Nile, the album allowed Brannigan to secure some of Dublin's finest underground musicians. The band now consisted of 3 members of Future Kings of Spain and ex members of The Mexican Pets and Sub Assembly and produced by one of Ireland's finest songwriters/producers Joe Chester.

The next few years saw them open for the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen, The Ordinary Boys, Gallon Drunk and Ex-Gir, as well as close the Hard Working Class Heroes festival in 2004 & 2006.

Three years were spent writing and crafting their second album "Graveyard of Burnt out Cars", demos of which lots of radio airplay, national and international, including Xfm London. Recently a track was chosen for a Tin records '07 compilation.

JD Thomspons and the Wages of Sin

"The sound that you'd hear if ZZ Top were to get really drunk and play the theme music to an exorcism of Peter Murphy. At least that's what I'm shootin' for" JD Thompson on his band The Wages of Sin..

In the world of popular American music, it's not uncommon for artists that reflect their deep traditional influence to be overlooked. It takes a special character with a unique talent to set one man and his guitar apart from the endless hordes of singer/songwriter, and stand out against the grain of modern pop culture. But Oklahoma born and raised songwriter, singer and guitarist JD Thompson is just such an artist. With stories and a style all his own, Thompson builds on the legacy of America's most influential musical storytellers like Johnny Cash and Woody Gutherie, while combing a lurid intellect and emotive soundscapes with something more carnal, almost bordering on subversive. His deeply spiritual voice and mournful guitar work takes listeners through the backwoods and backalleys of one man's experiences on the fringes of purgatory and paradise.

At age sixteen, Thompson left his home in Grady County, OK (known better as "Hell's Fringe" to history buffs and noir readers). From there, he set off in search of a future in music. For nearly a decade, he travelled across the U.S. and beyond until one fateful Autumn afternoon in Dublin, Ireland when he and legendary producer Lou Adler crossed paths. Thompson was "buskin'", or performing on the streets for spare change when Adler heard him first and picked up a copy of Thompson's home recorded demo. The rest, as they say, is history. In fact, Adler felt so compelled by Thompson's music that it brought him out of a ten year hiatus, and back to the cutting edge of American music. Within a year Thompson was recording with drummer Joey Worenker (AIR, Beck, Johnny Cash) and bassist/producer Mike Elizando (Fionna Apple, Ry Cooder) and others recognized as the best in L.A. By late 2005, Thompson began recording his first album with Adler scheduled for release this Autumn.

JD plays some solo tunes with a reformed version of Wages of Sin in Dublin.

Not Men But Giants

o it began…three unwise men conspired to Greatness and, in the throws of booze and enthusiasm, pledged to make a dent in music history that would last beyond their mortal coils. Blood was spilled, then shared, and our three heroes became Not Men but Giants.
Bolstered by their experience playing together in other bands and projects, the lads immediately became One, and working at a furious pace they hammered out an impressive set of recordings which became the "30 Second Attention Span" EP.
Not Men But Giants are prepared to plant a huge footprint in your head. If you wish to catch a glimpse of these Giants, simply look to the skies*.

Brian Cullen's Love Bullets

brian cullens love bullets were formed in late 2004 by Paul Pentony(drums) and Stephen Cadwell(bass/vocals) with the aim of making indie pop music without the po faced attitude. They were joined by Rachel Dowling(guitar/keyboards/singing) in January 2005 and things began to happen.

In the two years since brian cullen's love bullets got together they have gone from a five piece to a three piece and have undergone numerous line up changes. They have now settled on continuing as a hardcore three piece and have kept their credo of making bright indie music and releasing it on their newly formed record label Cleft Palate Records.

They release their first record 'Ask for Directions' (CPR001) in July 2007 and will follow this up with another release in August and September before releasing a full length album. "Ask for Directions" will be released on limited edition 10inch and CD formats with each release containing different prizes and gifts to keep things interesting.

The ALS album is great - a massive step up from the first one.

joe wilson is a cunt. that is all.

I googled him and this is who I found

Joe Wilson is a Liar...Not Scooter Libby

Read it and weep

Washington - We're reluctant to return to the subject of former CIA employee Valerie Plame because of our oft-stated belief that far too much attention and debate in Washington has been devoted to her story and that of her husband, former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, over the past three years. But all those who have opined on this affair ought to take note of the not-so-surprising disclosure that the primary source of the newspaper column in which Ms. Plame's cover as an agent was purportedly blown in 2003 was former deputy secretary of state Richard L. Armitage.

It does call him a liar but not a Cunt
