MEDEA

Dublin three-piece Medea formed last year. Former members of Playground Psychotic, they took the rock principles of that band and fused them with a much more melodic and sparse approach, resulting in a sound that has been described as somewhere between Joy Division and Sleater-Kinney.

Much touted Cork garage rockers Rulers of the Planet stop off to plug their excellently titled "we are the late night death squad" E.P.

Get A Room is Mike Stevens of Settler with some machines and his friend Fiachra McCarthy (Capratone, House of Mexico). Musically in there own words "there's some keyboards, some banjos, some beats, some words. For the sake of classification let's call it the musical equivalent of an elderly gentleman, clothed in nothing more than a straw hat, toddling through a shower room,looking for the toilet. A little robot follows him with a stun gun, saying "*bzzzcrgggllhh* Learn! Learn!"
