In your heart...
You know those days that you wake up in a terrible mood and cant seem to shake it, they suck!

I woke up at 6am like an anti-christ, into work for 7, and i've had a scowl on my face ever since which isnt really like me.
I handed in my notice last friday but i have to work out a two month notice period (company policy, dont get me started ive already had an argument with HR about it today)

I just feel like im looking for a fight! any suggestions as to how i can get rid of this?!

You're sorta stuck where you are
But, in your dreams you can buy expensive cars,
or live on mars
and have it your way

And you hate your boss at your job
well in your dreams you can blow his head off
in your dreams
show no mercy

And all your bad days will end
And all your bad days will end
You have to sleep late when you can
And all your bad days will end

ring in sick for 2 months

I was thinking about calling in sick for two months but another guy that works here did that and they ended up calling him in and bringing him to a doc of their choice to see if he really was sick, he wasnt and he had to pay back the company the wages they paid him out when he was 'sick'
They are evil people

I'd look into that mandatory 2-month notice thing

What does employment law state? I thought one month was the norm

Hahaha, go home and pick a fight with Smellen....

Slowly bring your work down to nothing in work so they have no choice but to fire you.

Problem solved.

Or

Take a sexual harrassment case against your boss, say that you are uncomfortable working with him/her anymore and leave.

Or sexually harass your boss. That could be more fun!

Isn't the legal requirement for notice one wage period? So if yr paid monthly yr notice should also be one month? You should root out yr contract or employee handbook and have a goo.

Also they can legally ask you to attend a doctor of their choosing ,however it is usually after a prolonged absence e.g. 6 months. And if you do get a letter asking you to attend you can just come back to work and they can't say anything to you. In a place I worked before it was 6 months and I worked with a woman who took off the 6 months every year and when she got the letter to attend the doctor she would arrive back to work.

So in short check your contract and handbook. I definitely think you could get away with going sick ,although you would need to check that they pay for sick leave in notice periods as some places don't.

Yeah i know the legal notice period is one wage period but in my contract it states that i have to give 2 months.
I've gone through it with a fine tooth comb looking for a way out of it but there doesnt seem to be one tho.
That doesnt seem right does it?
