What's all this ATP versus bullshit?

I mean if anything the people behind ATP are hardly going to be involved in many fights - let alone the people they claim to be up against.

And anyway, ATP are collaborating with the curator. If it really was ATP versus Explosions in the Sky then surely it would be ATP putting on a gig and Explosions in the Sky putting on another gig in the same place at the same time?

has a dischord band ever played atp.
lungfish played the mogwai/tortoise/shellac one a few years back.

out of the folks mentioned above, the ex or jim o'rourke would make good curators i reckon. this one has the potential to be as shit as the slint one judging from the line-up so far. never know though

... and stereolab

stereolab would be perfect.they don't play nearly often enough anymore, they'd bring a whole load of bands that would never have played before as well as possibly some distinguished friends (Tortoise/Sea and Cake, Jim O'Rourke, Sean O'Hagan??).

Jim O'Rourke might be good but then again could be a disaster.that guy is so unpredicatable and i don't think he'd do it.

ATP Versus Thumped Forum?

we could have a nerdy polling system
oh hang on that was ATP vs The Fans
