Lisa Lopes was a pop singer from america who is now (sadly) dead. The chances of any of her friends or family reading stupid puns based on TLC lyrics posted here are quite remote. Does this make it ok? No, but at least her friends and family know where she is and can grieve for her.

Trevor Deeley is an ordinary bloke from Dublin who is missing. His family desperately believe he is still alive, and they are still looking for him. Maybe I'm getting old, but I don't find anything remotely amusing in that situation.

by no means am i trying to say that i've never smirked when i heard a joke at a dead person's expense, sometimes it's embarrasing how a nation can put so much importance on one person's life. all i'm after is the logic behind instantly banning the trevor deeley guy and not banning whoever made this jab at poor lisa.

what i'm talking about isn't particular to this board, but a symptom of it popped up when the trev. piccy appeared. it's how people are weird about the value of life and it seems to be somehow proportional to how famous the person is or how far away they live and maybe whether you can understand their language. pete, if you'll tell me what pub you'll be in after work, i'll buy you at least 6 rounds.
