It's bright 24 hours a day at that time of year though isn't it ? Not sure i could handle that at a festival.

Edit: Just checked there, 18 hours of daylight apparently.

I was there around Halloween; much better for long nights. That amount of daylight might drive me cracked.

Did I ever tell you about the time I got very very very pissed at ATP and called my friend at his fancy lawyer firm on the channel islands.
It was 3am and I was put through to the office answering machine.
Except
I thought it was 3pm and I was talking to the receptionist who was refusing to put me through.

There followed 20 minutes of me cursing at the answering machine, threatening it, some cajoling, a lot more threatening and finally singing of with "fucking inbred Jersey cunts".

He was called into the boardroom on Monday morning and there was a tape recorder on the desk. He nearly lost his job.....

I think I'd sooner go to Iceland Airwaves.

I went to Iceland Airwaves in 2010 and thought it was a bit meh. Quality of bands was a bit hit-and-miss, and the big venue they had for that year was a really long room, not the best configuration for watching bands.

I would totally go back to Reykjavik for the hot dogs from this stand though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bæjarins_Beztu_Pylsur
