i heard this whilst flickin through the radio the other day. i dunno if its true though.

They never split up. Took a break, yes. Worked on some side projects, yes. Said they would not be touring for the forseeable future, yes. But, split up? No.

from what i read it was an indefinite break, i.e no plans for anything, ever. and on top of that Grand Royal shut down last month.

according to rob from 90 day men (who is a good friend of ATDI), the band have split for good. they all have new bands (there are 3 or 4 of them, of which Defacto, featuring the singer playing drums and the guitarist playing bass, have already released an album). so there you go. they got fed up with constant touring in a shit van, decided to go the 'industry' way, realised that they enjoyed that even less, and split.

Haven't heard the record but live they are really good. Nothing like ATDI, they are heavy, complex dub/reggae. The two ATDI guys are amazing at drums/bass. Apart from them there's a guy on keyboards and another on strange vocal effects.
