The Nerves were from Newry, released an lp on Good Vibes.

way to feel rejected eh? byrnos and his splitter runaway success thread while the 32 county gig attendance thread slips away.

makes one feel like the officials after the provos broke away, cobh when roy keane went to forest, crust when eric went to australia, gout when other bigger bands started doing last ever gigs - painfull!

i'm actually from meath, so is crispo, cant say i know of punk bands from there though - few metal bands, a depeche mode type band, a bluesy band from navan called bogey brothers were the biggest meath band i know of - but that was 2 lps and a residency in the baggot style big. one of them was in Grand Slam with philo mind

I tried to solve the County Meath punk problem by place county meath and punk into a search engine didnt find anything but I did find out that 'punk' is actually an Anglicized irish experssion
"There is “Say uncle!” (“anacal” means mercy), “razzmatazz,” and “malarkey,” and even expressions like “gee whiz” and “holy cow” and “holy mackerel” are Anglicized versions of Irish expressions, he said. So are “doozy,” “hokum,” “humdinger,” “jerk,” “punk,” “swanky,” “grifter,” “bailiwick,” “sap,” “mug,” “wallop,” “helter-skelter,” “shack,” “shanty,” “slob,” “slacker” and “knack.”"

Lupus, Shangwangpangdang, Penitent, Eht Egnarts and S.I.N were Tipperary punk bands early/mid 90's

Carlow:
90's - Neckweed (maybe a bit too metal, although total DIY), Depraved, my old band whose name Jamie can't remember
00's - Excuse for an Escape, The Undertakers

Kilkenny:
Cheapskate (no false modesty Byrnoes!)
Nappyrash
Dope John Paul (who can forget!)
...surely there's more
