Regarding Current 93's "Halo":
I love "Sleep has his house", it is so moving, the purity of emotion on it is harrowing at times. My favorite is "the magical bird in the magical woods", Tibets voice literally cracks with emotion on that one, and the second half of that mixed by Stapleton is beautiful. Like a landscape from a dream.
I have never seen Current 93 live myself, unfortunately, but I was speaking to Maja (C93's pianist) the other day and she told me that the live performances of "Sleep Has His House" are really intense, powerful and moving. She told me audience members often cry at recent C93 gigs. I could well believe it.
Well, apparently the performances of tracks from "Sleep has his house" are 'fleshed out' with accompiment on violin, cello, guitars and two grand pianos. Sounds great.pagr said:there's also few tracks from "sleep has his house" there, which is one of my fav. C93 albums, and one of the best albums ever!
let me know what do you think of "halo" once you get it
