No, very easy.

Apple juice and yeast

Put it in a demijohn (by the method my mum is using) with some cling film over it... it foams over for a while... when it stops foaming over fit an airlock... when it stops fermenting (the water levels in the airlock will be even and it won't bubble any more) bottle.
 
one of the easiest ways is to put them on a tray (open end up) and put them in the oven at about 130 degrees for about 20 minutes - you need them to be hot/warm before you fill them with jam/chutney or whatever anyway.

Edit: after you've washed and dried them first of course.
