actually, there was loads of ironic looking nerdy indie guys that were probably there for the skit, but they didn't scare me.

scary in that they looked like unwashed confederate rednecks. the kind of guy and gal whose bare chests are under the police officer's knee on COPS. its the unwashed morass of hair, the faint odour of the midlands and damp caravans, the patchy facial hair, the squinting, the 5 plastic pint glasses of cider lined up in front of each of them. dunno. i'm just a refined semi-hygenic indie kid who's trying to learn the etiquette of when to clap at jazz gigs. or maybe i'm an elitist prick. i dont hate these people. i am however scared of what they represent. undertones of mindless drones agog in the presence of an evil overlord. i was way out of my league last night. enjoyed the noise immensely tho.
