This photo is uncredited on this record and is simply called "Street scene 1947"

I've been searching for a high res version for a friend who wants to frame it

I'm guessing it's probably on something like getty images but I cant find it

The gang is called The Boozefighters(!)

well it took about a week of fruitless searching before i found out the name of the gang...

I figured as much. I've a mate looking for the original of a photo used in a car ad in the 70s for about two years who one day had an epiphany very recently and emailed the car company and had a result within about 24 hours. It's a kicker when something so obvious only comes to you after you've put loads of time into it.

its out on ACE, which are still very much in business. Is it a reissue?

He has the LP but the quality of the image is not great so it'd look a bit shite

Must see if the good people at ACE can help- I doubt it though as they are probably just reproducing it from scans
