I'm looking for people who want to share their experiences in Irish call centres. A friend is gathering material for a book on labour resistance in call centres (primarily union formation and strikes), the goal of which is to produce a participatory analysis of selected examples of collective organization occurring internationally. I've completed two case studies already (one in Rome, with the rank and file union Cobas, the other in New Brunswick, Canada, with the Communication, Energy and Paperworkers of Canada). I'm interested in speaking to people who have worked at call centres in Ireland, but especially to those who have been involved in labour organizing or resistance within a call centre context, or have wanted to do do. The interview would probably take 30 mins to an hour or so. He's here until July 24th and can be reached at [email protected]. If you are interested let us know.
