Easy answer:

No.

I went looking last week and resolved to stop hitting town on a saturday altogether.

town's getting quieter in the run up to Christmas I reckon. The Lord Ed's always worth checkig in on, some nights its jammers, some nights its near empty. I was in Frank Ryan's (by Bargintown) last week and it had plenty of seats.

Peter's pub.

If you just want somewhere quiet where you'll get a seat, the cellar bar under the merrion hotel is good. It's no more expensive than any other pub.

back of christchurch? I ended up bushing there with a scary ex-russian soldier and a totally obliterated black toothed dublin alcoholic ex-junkie once. the russian kept alluding to the fact that he 'get trouble' and had to leave russia, and the the other guy kept showing me a .22 bullet wound in the back of his knee; a memento from a visit from the 'ra'. great fun!

I was in The Beer Hall abov The Bull and Castle on Friday night and it was great, not too packed with an excellant selectio of beers from around the world. The music was shit though, straight out of the Hogan's school of ambient world music and acid jazz sciffle.

I used to like the Flowing Tide of a Saturday evening once all the Abbey crowd had fucked off to break a leg, but the constant abuse from the bar staff wore me down.

Was in town last Friday night, the city is a horrible kip.

Cans in me gaff from now on.

The Canal, although I hear right outside the lower deck is really popular. Bit cold for knacker drinking these days though.
