Nah quit the job. At the time i considered asking the boss to fire me so i could get the dole for a while, but in hindsight i think i made the right decision, recession or not.

I still have a bit left over from the oz, should i move it out of my account/hide it in credit cards/throw it at poor people, or is there a sort of threshold they don't care about?

Also, how do you work out how many social insurance contributions you've made? Is it one a week when you're working or wha? And how far back do they go?

As far as I know it only affects your payment if you've over twenty grand in saving or investments etc.

That was impossibly easy. P45, driving license, passport was all i needed, possibly because the woman somehow knew me. Said i should get a payment this side of christmas. All that's left is chasing the supplementary payment thing.

My money was short today,for no reason I can think of ,and after trying to phone for about 45 minutes I reckon it's time to give up. (the battery is dead in my phone now too so I've no choice anyway.

Yep very normal. My mate's an accountant and if he needs anything from them he's been told he has to call in to the office as they don't bother answering the phones anymore.

Silver Surfer is right- its needs to be 20k plus to have an effect and the Shealth board its 5K..

Not sure about the contributions..

have wasted hours listening to their phone ring out from home
and having been there, listening to it ring out and not be answererd.

I spent over an hour and a half trying to phone them a lot of it I had the landline AND mobile dialling at the same time. No Answer.


That would suggest to me there is need for more staff. I'm asking for a job on monday.

We have numbers to get through directly to people rather than the mainline that we've been given as an agency from about four months ago. They are have admitted they dont answer the phone, staff shortages is why. Still cant get through to the direct lines half the time
