We have combined the high-tech solutions of our partners Novell Corporation, Fujitsu and 123ID to create a cutting edge secure authentication and verification system which is the backbone of this secure children’s website. A secure virtual community for children accessed only by children, the site utilizes the latest in biometric authentication to achieve a level of security which is no less than any government or corporate institution would consider acceptable.
How It Works:
Registration:
On registering with Annesdiary.com, each new member will receive a presentation welcome pack containing the following:
A welcome letter explaining the features of the website
A unique usercard
A state-of-the-art fingerprint authentication reader
A copy of the “Anne of Green Gables” book
On receipt of the welcome package members will set up their fingerprint reader using a one-time authentication code thereby registering their identity on our secure database. The fingerprint matrix itself is encrypted and transmitted securely across the Web to authenticate users. Even if someone gets a hold of the fingerprint matrix, it will be undecipherable and unusable to them.
Each Christmas the child will be sent a physical copy of their Diary with all of their entries included in it .
Secure Sponsor:
When a parent or guardian registers their child on the site they must provide details of a Sponsor who is able to verify the age and identity of the child. In order to be eligible, a Sponsor must be known to the child, be a resident of the country in which the registrant lives, and be a recognised professional from our list. You must provide an email mailing address and phone number where we can contact your sponsor. We will contact all Sponsors over the phone and email to verify this information. The Sponsor will be mailed a one-time Authentication Code which they must use to activate the child's Anne's Diary account. This code will be used when the child first registers her fingerprint to intialize her account.
