An Post-Annoying? (3 Viewers)

we can't answer your question here, but i can give you a number instead...

and, actually, i heard a report tonight from someone who did get a call back, and the man was extremely lovely. sorry for badmouthing you on the internets, tony. em.

Still, before she got the phonecall she had been made buy a stamp to post something to the GPO, when she was standing in the GPO. Buncha freaks.
Except aforementioned Tony who is great.

if you have any questions, i'd recommend using the An Post website. Its well designed and helpfull to the max.

I think they got Leonardo Da Vinci and Einstein to design it during a seance in the GPO.

i went to the post office on james street the otehr day to pick up records nad this postman going out on his bike says to me:
"bad brains? best fuckin band ever!"

that was pretty cool

I missed this in '06.
99% chance that was my mate dave. He's in one of them drop dead videos I posted.

i got a reminder from an post today telling me that my postbank account is winding up in september. i liked the postbank, its a little sad.

I wanted to open an account last year or so with about 2 grand and asked whats the best account for interest as I wouldn't be touching it and I was more or less told that you don't really get any interest these days.
This was in Irish Permanent btw.

it does seem that the only any way decent deposit rates is for the regular savings accounts but those only apply to introductory. a person from one of the banks rang me and he was quoting rates of 3.5% as a 1 year introductory but that would probably after 12 months go down to 0.25%

this is a guide only and the lowest quoted on the website is €5,000 though - http://www.itsyourmoney.ie/costcomparisons/cs_group_lump_sum_deposit.htm

for regular saving accounts, this is the link - http://www.itsyourmoney.ie/costcomparisons/cs_tab_regular_savings.htm

Imagine the scene

Washingcattle is wasted on a warm tuesday in august he hears a knock at the door. When he arrives at the door and looks through the spyhole he sees an an post van outside and assumes he or someone in the house is about to get a nice package and opens the door. Washingcattle gets caught by a fucking T.V License inspector. Since then Washingcattle is suspiscious of all an post related employees. Bastards.

the national solidarity bond is probably the best bet right now for (long term) savings, low enough minimum entry too,im tempted.

washingcattle-never answer the door to guys in uniform,if they got something for you they'll leave a note.

If it's any consolation Amazon shipped a book to me in May which hasn't arrived yet and has presumably been robbed from the mail.
Business here (Mexico) don't ever post cheques, even though the chaque cant be cashed it will still be robbed from the post (this still baffles me!).
Instead of posting cheques to suppliers the suppliers come here once a week to collect their cheque - it's like the social welfare around here on Thurs and Friday with people queing for their cheque.
Vary strange.
