I was watching a Manowar DVD last night when I noticed something strange. I said to City Baby hey look, all those guys have no hair on thier chests! Or arms! They must wax them! He said yeah, that's an American thing. Remember that metal band who played here and we were all slagging them for having waxed chests (I don't remember as it happens) and they said "this is normal back home, everyone does it".

So, is it normal for American guys to wax their chests and arms? Is it a metal thing, perhaps to show off their tattoos to better effect? What's the story? Jane?

Look, they had body hair back in the day

But now it's all gone! (I think their legs are still hairy though. I can't find that pic of Joey De Maio in cowboy pants to prove it though, lucky for you).

Or is it? Do European feel the need to do this? I don't beleive they do but am unwilling to go into details lest I give the impression that every girl I know is a dirt bird.

I was going through some old video tapes a while back and I found a headbangers ball guest hosted by Joey De Maio from around 1995. He premiered a Manowar video called return of the warlord where they arrive on stage at a venue on harleys with loads of trashy hookers. They were all shaved smooth as eels.
