Another student said Kindle is “a little difficult to adjust to” and expressed irritation over “the necessity to charge the Kindle”.

people like that are why i sometimes hate working in IT

GET OVER IT, JERKS

if you could plug real books into these yokes and transfer them on, now that would be ideal

yeah, and it should display the book cover on the back of the device.

Lets face it, half the fun of reading is showing off by letting everyone see how smart you are by the really deep material you're into reading.

As Mr.Murphy says, 'Whats the point of reading Baudelaire, if that fact you're unable to share'.

Kindle got a shit review here as well. I haven't used the Kindle but i do a fair bit of work with e-books and they don't come up to scratch at all.

I'd say in a few years they're gonna eat books alive (RIP our business) but they don't seem to be quite there yet. They seem like a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_PMP300"]Diamond Rio[/ame] circa 1998.
The Kindle in particular looks like one of those electronic executive toys that they used to try and sell ya out of the Sunday Times in the late '80s and early '90s.

conversely, nobody can turn down page corners

COME THE REVOLUTION, FIRST UP AGAINST THE WALL: PAGE CORNER TURNERS

and even better - you can't loan an e-book to someone and NEVER GET IT BACK

eh, well you can loan a book to someone and never get it back and then at least you'll have other books.

loan your e-book reader to someone and never get it back, then what? You'll be stuck reading the graffiti in the jacks

on the other side of the coin, no-one will be able to tell when you're reading stephen king or one of your mum's maeve binchys

...although i suppose if you had access to 1500 books of your choice, you wouldn't end up reading stephen king or maeve binchy in the first place

no, you can just email them the book and they can email it to all their friends and so on, hey! soon you can stop buying books altogether!!
