Advice with PA (1 Viewer)

I know this is home recording but i can't find a forum for this.

I need to get a PA for the Rock Jihad and was thinking of this combo. Has anyone used either of these or could you recommend anything else in this price range.

That combo will work alright but you might want to match the speakers closer to the 8Ohm power rating of the amp (that is if you end up getting 8Ohm speakers).

The amp is a good idea cos you can match it to any speakers.

Those speakers are 80hm, i don't understand all this Ohm stuff.
 
Alan, do you have to get speakers where the watts & ohm match the max watts & ohm of the amp or will any watt do up to the max on the amp.

400watt 80hm speakers into 500watt 80hm amp
Would this setup be bad for either amp or speakers.

Pantone247, I don't need a powered mixer, i'll just be using it for djing so the extra money spent on a powered mixer can be spent n more watts

Speakers can generally take more than they're rated for without any problems, so that setup would be cool.
You're better to have an amp that is more powerful than the speakers anyway so you don't have to drive the amp to the max.
