Advice Needed!Travelling abroad with guitar (1 Viewer)

I'm going away in a few weeks,and I'm bringing my guitar along.
I've heard all sorts of storys about instruments getting thrown around by bag handlers an sometimes broken! I'm wondering what the best things to do,ensuring the guitar is protected etc so it won't be fucked around.
Should I get a hardcase??an those Fragile stickers??where does one get them??

Any advice would be appreciated.

Get a hard case and make sure to loosen all the strings before putting it on the plane.

Someone here suggested buying an extra ticket/seat for the guitar.

Sounds like a good idea to me if it's possible.

Ask for the fragile stickers at check in. They got loads of em

I brought one back from the States recently & got it shrink wrapped at JFK.
More for security than safety.

DEFINITELY get a hard case & jam it full of bubble wrap too.
