bbc4 had a doc on the other week about aussie rock, 'the easybeats to ac/dc'. Geroge Young, Malcolm and Angus' older brother, became a producer and song writing team with the guitarist from his old band the easybeats. They wrote Love is in the Air.

Good fact.

It's grand but it's no Rock N Roll Train. I'd enjoy it a lot more if it felt like there was a chance of singing along to it in a stadium next summer.

I haven't gone back and listened to the last couple but initial impression of the new album is that it's really good. I do find it a bit tiring to listen all the way through though...I'd love to hear them recorded by someone else just to see if it makes a difference as I think it's the same producer for the last three albums. There's me saying something about production/recording when I know nothing about it...

I've listened to Power Up a few times now. It's different enough to be interesting. Some stretching out with backing vocals and songs that stray away from A, B and E. I'm ok with the length of it, just as it starts to get tiring it is over. I like that Shot In The Dark isn't the first song, and the only half decent one, which is how they've structured their albums since For Those About To Rock.
