just got a patch off limewire :"ableton live 5.0.1 working patch to unlock demo application.rar" problem is that the demo i have is version 5.0.2 anybody know anything about that patch or how to unlock the demo version i have?

Wouldn't get my hopes up. Live is pretty notorious for ridiculously comprehensive copy protection. I got a cracked version for OS X about a year ago and it locked up just last week. Must have been sending information out over the interweb and Ableton only recently learned how to recognise the crack I was using. If you do manage to get a cracked copy, switch the off your net connection each time you use it. Also, fuck limewire. Use Bit torrents. You can probably get a bundled version (Program + crack) on one of those sites.

i think thats a bit unfair.
if someone just wants to have a look at a bit of software theres no point in rushing out and buying it.demo versions are sometimes too annoying to use properly.after using it for a while and if you decide that you like and will continue to use the software then it should be bought
