just got a steamer. I have to say that veggies do taste way better out ofit. However , on the machine itself there is a little picture of an egg . Do you put the egg in its shell in or do you crack it open in a bowl and steam poach it?

Also is meat nice steamed?

Cleveland steamer?

I'd wash it off before it dries.

Or a single clam? Get a bunch of other steamers and do 'em on a BBQ and eat 'em with garlic butter.

Don't know nothing about steaming machines.

You can steam meat...

My mother steams chicken breasts and various different kinds of fish. She just raps them up in a tin foil parcel with a little bit of olive oil and herbs just sprinkled on top.

But if your going the posh spice route leave out the olive oil.

Steamed ham.... I could imagen that be alright, same as boiling it I presume.
