how strangely poignant and depressing

I remember the Northside Shopping Centre ad from the radio

little did I know how un-magical the reality was

My 1984 looked like this

Ahh..it were a magical kindgom for a young Mr.Music and his trusty cohorts alright.

Halcyon summer mornings spent pilfering in Tommys Wonderland of Value.

Buying Ant Music on 7" in Golden Discs....that was some tune hai

Bobbing around among the turds in the Pool on the roof...thats something long gone from public swimming facilites..you never see logs dropped in municipal pools anymore.

Getting bullied by glue sniffers in the underpass to and from..I can actually remember the joy I felt when I heard the most notorious of these bully boys was sniffing petrol under there and someone suggested he drink it for a top buzz and all his teeth and hair subsequently fell out..he died a horrible death not long after from an unrelated incident.The prick.Heh.

Glorious Times!Simpler Times for sure.

I'd love to hear that ad one more time.
