Being drunk and internet made me think of this:

Can any of your readers come up with any constructive thoughts on the miserable task of dealing with the ageing process, or at least post some other fond Lego memories from your privileged childhoods?

We kept all our lego in what was to my memory a gigantic plastic box. We would make robots and spaceships out of them. They had so many guns. At one stage we probably had about 30 robots and 20 ships. Then they would have a fight with the StarCom people. Eventually the matchbox cars would get in on the action as well..........

Later in life I splurged much birthday/xmas/confirmation money on Lego Tecnic. Got loads of that in the attic.

At some stage I discovered girls. I was probably around 20 or 21. Ah no, I'm joking, it was two weeks ago. At any rate, that was the end of Lego as a serious pursuit for me.

Stored all my lego in a battered old suitcase, I only went for the space stuff really and got out before all the facial hair and clothing options came in. Greatest imagination tool ever that stuff, I had the wackiest spaceships and vehicles with diferent sets of wings and multiple sections, so much fun.

In later years we tok to making the most brick like cars we could and having ramming competitions in a circvs maximvs kinda way; such decadence was the beginning of the end...

We used to make rafts , put wood on the bottom of them and let them off in a little stream by my house, with little lego men captins and all. Lost many the stream fairing lego man.

this is what happens when you don't force your children to give up their lego when they reach adolescence

I won the wicklow regatta Lego competition when I was 5. I believe i made a space ship. I was too shy to collect my trophy so my mammy sent my brother up. He still gets ridiculed for it.

I used store all the lego in a massive cardboard box.
Our cat jumped into it one day and pissed all over it.

Not cool.
same thing happened to me. took me ages to realise as well...

At 1am on saturday i was busy breaking code_ninjas glasses with a drunken smack to the face.....perhaps i could recreate this with lego!!

I watched a t-rex dvd that far surpassed any juvenile drinking expeditions;)

Some of us had things to do on Sunday.

No credit to text you back dude

A few years ago I had a cool idea for a Lego spaceship, so I went to the folks's and got the goods from the attic. For about 5 minutes I was in the zone, but then a thought struck me - "What exactly am I going to do with this spaceship when it's built? Run around the house with it at arms length going NNNEEAAAAOOOWWWWMM? No, this scenario is unlikely."

Lego put back in attic and not heard from since

To quote the only funny line in Peep Show(yes, really...);

"do you have to live so relentlessly in the real world!"
