I'm in the process of doing grade 5 RIAM but I think id like to switch to jazz grades after that. The jazz exams seem a lot more interesting to me plus the improvisation side of things definitely appeals.

More difficult to get into than when I did it then. Guy who did not know how to create a new folder in windows got into the course when I was doing it. In a round about way it got me into what I'm doing now (SEO) , still not sure if that's a good thing though :confused:

I had a good experience overall with the web design one in Loughlinstown (still shit at web design mind you). Friend is doing the radio production one in Tralee and loves it.

anyone studying piano here? Are associated board piano exams tougher than Royal Irish academy piano exams? How do they correspond?. ie maybe grade 5 Royal Irish is similiar to Grade 4 associated board? any jazz piano students?
