I understood from this that they were removing stuff cos they hadn't verified that the people in the videos were not kids or rape victims, not that they actually are kids or rape victims - and I was trying to provide some context for why a faceless corporation wouldn't moderate user-generated content (cos they have a financial incentive not to)

There are other methods as mentioned in the article for example a quick selfie from a computer of phone camera that self deletes shortly after which would verify the age or at least determine an adult from a child such laws already exist in other parts of Europe hence we are working with other countries.

I remember reading this debate about prostitution, and some fella piped up with this idea that he didn't like prostitution, but decided it was grand to make porn. So basically he got prostitutes, and filmed himself with them, decided he was a porn producer, and everyone won. He claimed that it was 100% legal then, too.
Then he was uploading his movies onto these websites on his channel or something.

It did occur to me that he probably didn't get consent from the sex worker, and it probably isn't kosher as a result. So it's probably good that they're taking down user generated stuff.

Clearly there's bigger things than "I'm a supporter of the club and this makes me feel bad" but I'm appalled by how the club has handled this. Everyone knew who it was for 3 years. The coaching and executive level of the club should have some very hard questions to answer.

Adam Johnson being allowed continue playing for Sunderland by Sam Allerdyce while on trial for sexual abuse should have been a 'never again' moment.

I also go back to Luis Suarez and John Terry racism cases. It was unbelievable even then that both Liverpool and Chelsea had no plan of action when a player stood accused of racism.
