how does stuff like 'a country practise' stand up?
or even the 80s corrie? do you ever skip ahead
if shit's starting to drag?
did you ever get the prisoner cell block H box?
A Country Practice always had well-written stories and plots. Trouble was that it got shafted when broadcast on RTE and HTV - episodes split in half [from 50 mins to 25 mins] and shown over two days instead of one. It went off the boil when Molly died [1985] but up till then it's good.
1980s Corrie is way weaker than the 1960s and 1970s sets but the box was dead cheap [£15 used] so it was worth a shot. You get eight episodes per year and I remember most of them.
Never got Prisoner box. Wasn't that big of a fan and most Aussie retailers won't ship it. AU$1600 or something - plus I heard there's 'encoding issues' with some of the discs. Crazy. I'd buy a Sullivans equivalent though.
Look at it
