So.... I actually do think this is the night of their last gig.
lthough! I wouldnt be against Ozzy getting wheeled out on a drip and croaking ..GOD HELP ME live on stage...and then actually dying. That would be fucking awesome., even better than MES getting wheelchaired in to his last gig.Aldous Huxley deathbed.

I CANT REMEMBER WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE BEFORE I HEARD THIS .....i was a child probabaly

Had a great time watching this in McHugh’s in Drogheda on my own but live chatting with about 20 friends around the world.
Decent crowd watching in the room too. Prick from disturbed got booed. Proper.

I was there from the beginning, in the local pub. In fact I borrowed the projector from the other local pub last night.
Then I popped out for food, then I popped home for a nap.
Housemate rings me, wakes me up "They're on in five minutes!"
Cool, thanks man, I'll be right there. Then I fell asleep again. So I missed it. I guess I just needed the sleep.

I did see them in 2013. From the balcony on the tower of the repeater array at Hyde Park (London, not Roscommon). It was a good reward for a challenging bit of work.

Part of the ill fated marriage celebration was herself singing War Pigs with a full band in her wedding dress. It was pretty cool. She was actually at Villa Park yesterday apparently. Glad she wasn't here.

Anyway, they've had a big effect on me one way or the other.

They did "quit" then Kerry King put out effectively a Slayer record under his name, then festival money came, then retirement, meant, occasion Fest gigs. I'd imagine there'll be a tour at some point

This send me looking at that kerry king slayer record - the one track i listened to i liked

I've watched loads of clips of this on YouTube. Someone had uploaded parts of the official stream of Ozzy's & Sabbath's set., they might have been taken down since then, but there seems to be a big improvement in Ozzy's vocals on the stream version when compared to the fan shot videos. ;)

"I'm Almost 24!!!" boss today was watching Changes at work today. But as sung by some X factor kid. I'm not sure if he was fully aware that the Black Sabbath gig happened. He just heard it in the ether of his socials.
Tomorrow's 21yo manager had never heard of Slayer. I don't expect him or anyone to be a fan, but to at least be aware of them.

I guess... I'd be suprised if a 21 year old muso or metal fan had never heard about slayer, but they were a band that peaked in popularity 15 odd years before he was born?

I remember a guy last year who was not long out of school asking me if AC/DC were Irish. Like he literally knew nothing about them which is kind of understandable really. It's also crazy to see young people who decide to get into retro metal look the part as if they have time travelled from the 1980's.
