You know you're getting old.... (11 Viewers)

giving out to kids is a minefield when they're not yours. thankfully most of my friends are quite cool about that but some parents don't take kindly to it at all. i remember meeting one of the few thumpeders i know who'd gone on holidays with a bunch of couples and their kids and he was frazzled from trying to remember which kids he had to be on tenterhooks about.

I would fall Out with so many parents if I had kid(s).
I would positively expect my kid to be scolded by one of his friends’ parents to if they were misbehaving. so I’d do them the same courtesy

I've just reminded myself, about 4 years ago when I went 'EYYYYYYYYYYYYY' to a stranger's 5 year old at the tills in Tesco finglas because his parents willingly let him scream down the entire cavernous shop for about 10 seconds for no obvious reason other than looking for attention, without even looking at the kid. The kid went quiet and I politely smiled and did the 'ahh' thing silently with my finger on my lips.

The father wasn't impressed but I do not give a fuck why he thinks we should all suffer pain and hearing loss. Fuck that, control your child

I’ve done similar myself. It’s the people that call their kids DDD and shit like that but let them smash food into the floor of the cafe, that I really hate. Up their own arse and don’t understand that just because their kids are middle class, they can still be absolute shits.

What does DDD mean?

But yes, fuck those guys

i had a woman shouting at me at the tills in ikea about ten years ago, after i told her kid to stop trying to push one of the tills off the counter it was on. she'd been totally ignoring him for the previous five minutes.

My chocolate loving nephew is very nice other than having easy access to chocolate at his Granny's place after school everyday. Not allowed eat like that at home. So it's not his fault really.
You should see all the junk food in the kitchen here. Adults - they have no cop on, like.

Haha I've used The Dad Voice on other people's kids too to great effect - just a "HEY" and a stare is usually enough

I wouldn't say that kid's parents necessarily "willingly" let him scream fwiw. Sometime if your own kid is kicking off any engagement from you will just escalate things, and you may as well just go about your business while waiting for them to stop

I think it's kinda fair enough for a Granny to give a kid sweets, mine would pretty much have never gotten any when they were little only for their grandparents. Every day is not so good though

Normally I wouldn't care but this tiny tyrant had the tone of a banshee screaming Oasis songs with the volume of Pavarotti. The whole massive shop fell silent it was so loud. If they're letting their child inflict that kind of noise on other people well then fuck them

You should have just screamed back at it even louder

Got tired of how long it was taking to buy two items in a Lidl. Yer wan at the till was a disaster. Myself and the lad behind me were making WTF eyes at each other during the ordeal. I eventually left after she was failing to scan my items at the correct price
'Thanks anyway but I just can't wait anymore'

Don't think I was rude leaving but fucking hell I had to go before I lost it and became rude
